Where To Find The Best Cheap color Copies

Until recently, the idea of cheap color copies – like cheap airline tickets – was an oxymoron. Even though the technology has not been new for some time, the copy companies knew that they could charge an arm and a leg. Cheap color prints were at least a quarter a page. As a promoter, this was a difficult situation for me. No one wants to go to a rave if the tickets are printed in black and white. Everyone wants to see good graphics. Without cheap color copies, I had to invest thousands of dollars just to design and print enough fliers.

Things have changed a lot in recent years. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that printers are cheaper than ever. Because of this, a lot of people can print color copies on their own. In order to keep up, Kinko's and the other big copy shops have begun to offer cheaper color copies. Now, I wouldn't say that they are cheap if you are only printing out one or two. It still can cost as much as a quarter per copy. Nonetheless, if you print in bulk like I do, it is much easier to get cheap color copies than ever before. Promoting shows costs me about 60% less money than it used to, and that is without adjusting for inflation.

The problem is that if you really want to get cheap color copies, you have to plan ahead of time. You cannot just go into the copy shop and run off 200 cheap color copies by yourself. Usually, they won't let you. They don't want you to tie up the copy machines for that long, after all. Instead, you have to give them the sheet that you want copied and wait at least a day for it. If you want cheap color copies, you have to go in ahead of time. If you only give them a day, they consider it a rush order and charge more money.

The very best way to get cheap color copies, however, is to order them off the Internet. This is quite inconvenient for most purposes, but if you can do it you should. Sometimes I know about a show at least three weeks in advance. This gives me the time to order some really cheap color copies. If you can use one of these Internet copy services, I highly recommend it. It is much cheaper than Kinko's copies.
