Compare Dial Up Service Providers
I find it difficult to believe that dial up service providers still exist. How about you? Please tell me that you've made the switch to cable high-speed Internet. This is absolutely the way to go in 2006. Wireless connection is the ultimate all the way. Roam throughout your house with just your 12 inch Mac in hand. I'm talking about 3 pounds of pure technology. In fact, this is probably one of the coolest machines to date. The small laptop I mean. What do you own that can actually do more or accomplish more tasks? I seriously doubt there is anything. PCs and Macs do it all now days. I can take care of my bills, my banking, order a pizza, chat with friends, do all of my shopping, arrange a trip, plan a dental appointment, schedule an oil change, and just plain surf the web for current events with this ultimate machine. Now that is utterly phenomenal! I don't think I could live without it now.
I still recall the dial up service providers from back in the day. I have three annoying letters for you; AOL. Yeah, did they have anything to do with your Internet connection? My guess is yes. I will never forget the dreadful word I heard so often with this dial up service provider. GOODBYE! I swear every time I would log on by dialing in, I would end up getting kicked off line. It made me furious to say the least. The best was when I was in the middle of some long and drawn out email to a buddy or relative. I would be typing and typing, and after about three paragraphs, GOODBYE. Suddenly I'm off line. Well, that means it's time to dial back in, again! With those old-school dial up service providers you were actually lucky half the time if you could dial back in. Sometimes they were so busy that there was no room for you to dial back in. That was terrible if you had research to do for a school project or something. So if I received a bad grade, I simply blamed it on the dial up service providers.
If you still take advantage of dial up service providers, I guess it's no big deal. I personally could not go back to that annoying screeching sound and waiting 2 years for a page to open up, but to each his own. My brother has to deal with dial up service providers again due to his rural location. In short, he hates it. Find out what other options are available by hopping online now.
