Does the mention of online counseling throw you for aloof? It's totally understandable if it does. I came across of the concept not all that long ago and it baffled me at first. It's somewhat bizarre to think that individuals with real-life problems get online counseling. Without an actual psychiatrist present. It's become like an online chat session. There may have just been social chat rooms in the beginning, but now there are all sorts. Folks all over the globe are delving into net-land for answers and assistance galore. Are you with the program? I personally don't know how I feel about online counseling. If my child or family member was afflicted with some sort of mental anguish, I think I would take the more personal route. This way he/she is sitting face to face with the professional. This ensures more honest responses and conversation. There is something very non-personal about the Internet.

So much of our lives are being converted to cyberspace. In another 20 years I wonder where we will stand. Now online counseling; maybe later we'll have online court sessions.
